Residency and family reunification support for spouses, partners, and families moving to Greece.
The Greece Spousal Visa is commonly used to describe the process that allows eligible family members to join and live in Greece with a Greek citizen or EU national. While many refer to this visa as a "spousal visa", the official immigration pathway is typically called family reunification. This process allows husbands, wives, registered partners, and dependent children to apply for residency based on the nationality or citizenship of the main applicant.

The Greece Spousal Visa describes the process that allows eligible family members to join and live in Greece with a Greek citizen or EU national. Officially known as family reunification, it allows husbands, wives, registered partners, and dependent children to apply for residency based on the nationality or citizenship of the main applicant.
You may be eligible if you are the husband, wife, or child of a Greek or EU national, or a registered partner. Dependent children can apply if they are under the permitted age requirement, or older if they have a qualifying disability.
The application typically requires identification documents for both spouses, proof of marriage or partnership registration recognized by the Greek authorities, health insurance coverage, proof of residence in Greece, and authorization documents. Our team helps organize and review everything before submission.
Yes. In most cases you must first enter Greece legally with a valid passport and proof of arrival, such as entry stamps and travel records. Once in Greece, you will also need a Greek address and supporting documents showing your family connection and accommodation arrangements.
The spousal residence permits and family reunification programs allow for a 5-year residency. Permits are renewable as long as the family relationship and supporting conditions continue to be met. Our team advises you on the exact validity for your case.
After submission, applicants are typically issued a temporary residence certificate (often called the "white paper") within 40 days, which allows you to remain in Greece legally while your application is processed. Due to current processing times, the final residence permit can take between 6-12 months to be issued.
In many cases, family members granted residency through reunification gain access to the Greek labour market.
We handle the full process — assessing whether you meet all requirements, guiding you in gathering proof of residency and your relationship documents, handling the filing with the local immigration authorities, and coordinating communication and follow-ups with the Greek consulates and the Ministry of Immigration & Asylum for a seamless application.
